IONIA. Herakleia ad Latmon. Circa 140-135 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 16.26 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasos springing to right above the foreparts of five galloping horses and a long tendril on the bowl, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace, and with a star on the raised earguards. Rev. HPAKΛEΩTΩN Club to right; below, Nike advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand, between two monograms; all within oak wreath. Lavva, Silberprägung, Group III. SNG von Aulock 1978. Attractively toned and well struck on a broad flan. Extremely fine.
